There's No Place Like Home
about us local love out & about
Hi everyone! It's been a hot minute since we touched based with you. Last we chatted, we were deep into quarantine, day 287 (so it feels). Since things have turned around a bit we have wandered out of our tiny bubble into the world again. Leah & I only saw each other from 6 feet apart twice and we hadn't seen our parents in 6 months. Not seeing loved ones and going to the places we love is hard, as you all know! As things lifted we decided it was time to venture off to our favourite place, Kootenay Lake! This...

Our traditional Italian Christmas Eve chestnut roast with eggnog and wine. 2019 was a jam-packed 365 days. In addition to Kootz Collective, we took on a contract with Creston Valley Kootenay Lake tourism. We have been (and still are) managing the social media for @cvklroute. We grew up between Creston and Kootenay Lake, and when the RFP landed in our...
Falling for Autumn in the Kootenays
about us local love out & about

In many places people complain that Fall is too short, but in the Kootenays, you really get a good dose of it. We spent most of our time taking in the changing landscape with nature walks, playing at the beach, fishing and cozy campfires. No fish to...
